Into the department store

As soon as you enter the department store, a woman with a sleek up-do and too much perfume stops you.

“And what are we looking for today?”

The “we” throws you.

“I’m—uh—I’m not sure.”

“Well, what’s the occasion? Casual? Formal?” You shrug and her smile grows brittle. “Well what’s our budget?” She asks.

You reach into your pocket and feel crisp bills. Do you show her the money?

1. Show her the money.

2. Don’t show her the money.
