You take the boy’s hand. He smiles at you and you notice that his breath is even and controlled. Your hand clenches involuntarily. His smile freezes and you notice that his eyes are calculating. You stop walking and his hand yanks you forward. He’s no longer smiling. You try and pull free and you feel a pressure behind your eyes and an incredible heat. The smell of roses is overwhelming.

The pressure grows and a woman passing you freezes, sweat beading on her forehead, a look of abject terror on her face.
“Ah, hell.” The boy slams a syringe into your neck and you drift into an unnatural sleep.
