It’s time to Rock the Drop!

The day is finally here! Readergirlz and Figment are going to ROCK THE DROP in honor of Support Teen Lit Day today, Thursday, April 14th.

Here’s how you can get involved:
Snag the banner above, created by the uber-talented David Ostow (who blogs hilarious cartoons here), and add it to your website, linking back to this post to share the love, and proclaiming that you will indeed ROCK THE DROP!
Print a copy of the bookplate below and insert it into a book (or 10!) that you’ll drop on April 14th. Drop a book in a public spot (park bench, bus seat, restaurant counter?) and you’re done. Lucky finders will see that the book is part of ROCK THE DROP!
Snap a photo of your drop and email readergirlz AT gmail DOT com with the pic — there will be lots of pictures of drops happening all over the world at the readergirlz blog.

Guys, this is so fun. Comment on this post if you rocked the drop! We’ll be posting pictures of ourselves doing it soon.

  1. I just don’t want to give away one of my books… I’ll give away one that my library has. That way I can still have access.

  2. fyi its kinda stupid to drop a library book bc u have to pay for the book if u just drop it somewhere and some hobo finds it

  3. Book drop successful! Drove by half an hour later after raiding a Borders 90%-off closing sale and it was gone!

If anyone at the Domain found a copy of Paper Towns… that was me.

  4. I realy like thata, but i just can’t say “Goodbye!” to my books. May be on some of them but not on all…no way. 🙂

  5. So doing this! Not sure which book I’ll do but it’ll be mine, not the Library’s. Probably at school…Where people need to read more and don’t because they prefer to hang at the mall. But I’ll do it soon.
