Can you believe it? The poetry challenge is coming to a close, and I don’t know about you guys, but I’m getting a little bit teary over here. It’s like that last day of summer camp when it’s already starting to get dark earlier in the evening and you’re sitting around that final campfire, gorging yourself on s’mores. In a word: poignant. In several more words: stomach ache-inducing. (Sniffle).
It’s not all gloom and doom though, Figmenty friends. For one thing, there’s one last prompt today. For another, there’s a deliciously poetical type prize coming up on the horizon!
As always, faithful poets, there are no restrictions on the poems you write in terms of length, meter, or rhyme. The only requirement is that you post your poem within 24 hours of each prompt’s announcement and that you tag it appropriately. Today’s tag will be: FridayPADC
And now, with all of the emotion and passion I can muster: it’s the final prompt!
Write about a memory involving an injury, an accident, or money.
Get those pens out, and when you’re done, we can all reminisce about the memories together. Scrapbooking? Yes?
