  1. Yes! I thought I wouldn’t make it, because last night I wasn’t in the top ten after sorting my most hearted! I got some more hearts though, so I am really happy! Thank you!

    • The finalists are being sent to Rebecca Lim for judging. As soon as she makes her decision, we’ll post it on the site.

  2. I’ve never made it this far in a contest (YAY :D!), so I’ve just have a question as to how this work. Does Rebecca Lim see how popular each entry was, or does she recieve them with no idea which were in top place, which were in last place? Just curious, because the latter would take away some of the problem where the writers with the most followers, probably get the most votes, because it would allow all the entries to be judged on the same plane. Just curious 🙂

    • Hi Luna

The entries that are sent are completely anonymous. There are no names or other information, just the title. Hope this helps!

  3. OMG!!! I MADE IT!!! I’VE NEVER MADE IT THIS FAR BEFORE!!! Sorry, I was at the lake all weekend and completely forgot about this… lolz. XD

  4. So, I’m just curious…do you know when we’ll be finding out who won this contest?

  5. Hey, I don’t mean to sound impatient, I’m just really curious and anxious for these results. Have you heard word as to when you might be getting the results? Thanks 🙂

    • Hi J

We’re waiting for the author to get back to us with her decision. As soon as she does, we’ll post the winner on the “contests” page. Feel free to email me at if you have any other questions.

  6. I was just wondering if you’d be posting the winner soon. And, if soon, then how soon, would you say?

    • Hi Loisa

There’s been a hold up with announcing the winner. As soon as things are smoothed out, we’ll let everyone know who won.

  7. Hey, since it’s been 40 days now since the finalists were chosen, I was just wondering how the results were coming along? Has there been any word at all? I assume the other finalists are as anxious as I am to find out the winner. Or is it possible to tell us what the hold up is? Or about how much longer it will take?
I’m trying my best to be patient, I’m just so curious and excited I got this far!
Anything you can tell me would be great. Thanks in advance!

  8. Hey, I’m really sorry but I am really anxious about this. I keep thinking about it and I just really want to know who won. This is the first time I have made it in the finalists for a contest and it’s been so long. If there’s a problem with the author judging, can’t we get someone else to judge? I’m really sorry to be bugging you guys again, it’s just really bugging me.

    • I feel your pain K. Anne! It’s driving me crazy too! We could have another author judge, or someone from figment, or a vote that fellow figment writers get to vote in like is done with some of the contests. Because its been over 2 months now 🙁 I wonder if theres anything we can do to help out in any way…

  9. I know that I’ve asked this before, but I was just wondering: do you know when we’ll find out who the winner of the contest is?

  10. I feel like I’m being a pest, but it’s been three months now 🙁 . Is there any news to pass on to us figmenters to tide us over during the wait?

  11. A few of my friends find it ironic that the forgotten contest has been forgotten. I’m starting to give up on ever finding out who won. This contest was really special for me, being the first one I put my heart and soul into, and not even finding out the winner? It’s just upsetting. I would be okay if someone just told us that we aren’t getting them judged. It’s the not knowing that is upsetting me. I know you guys are trying to fix it, but could you give us a time frame, “If it isn’t up in a month, its not getting judged?” Kind of thing. I would almost be okay with that.

Please, I don’t mean to be a bother, but I want to know. I’m really hating this author, her book sounded good, and I am thinking about not reading it because this is being so annoying.

  12. Well, I see K. Anne has already left a comment similar to the one that I was going to leave, but I am truly curious as to who the winner is—if there will ever be one. I, like K. Anne, would greatly appreciate a time frame or at least a, “Sorry, this isn’t actually going to be judged because it’s taking so long” type of thing.
I don’t mean to be a bother, but it would be nice to know, because this is the first contest in which I became a finalist.
