  1. I walked into the smokey room. Lights flickered on and off while people danced on the floor. New Year’s Eve in a club was no fun. My friend, Sarah, had dragged me to this sparkly atmosphere. I didn’t dance, I didn’t get high, I didn’t drink, I just plain old didn’t fit in in this environment. Suddenly, 11:59 struck. Everybody crowded near the DJ at the front of the club. I tried to stay back, but Sarah pulled in to the obis of people with meat-sweats. Everyone counted down. 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1- HAPPY NEW YEAR! Everyone jumped up in the air. They took shots, and kissed everybody around them. I backed out of the club slowly, running into a guy. But, then, I hadn’t known how 2012 would turn out. But I wish I had.

  3. How do you get a newsletter?
    Do they come automatically? or do you have to sign up?
    I check my email daily, but I never find anything there like a newsletter.
    Can someone explain?!

  4. December 31, 2011. Fireworks, bright lights, confetti, wired heart, tired eyes. Anticipation balled up in the bottom of our stomachs. It almost seems as though it’s another Valentine’s day with all the love that comes. Drunken hearts, weary eyes, and long waits. Dinner dresses worn and other clothes we wouldn’t normally wear just to fit the mood. Across the world this could be the most exciting time of our lives. The spirits are high and excitement is in the air!! What is there to expect for the New Year to come, everyone is talking about their new resolution and I’m just wondering if this feeling and the new found promises will last throughout the next year. As we all watch as that big sparkling ball drops down slowly I can only stand there and reminisce about the good and bad times that have happened this year. The time gets closer, and now that small anticipation that was in us prior, has increased enormously and is expressed through loud screams of joy and happiness. The countdown begins…10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 … Happy New Year! January 1, 2012.
