Okay. Remember when we told you that we’d been honored with the 2011 Los Angeles Times Book Prizes Innovator’s Award? And we were all balloons and excitement because we thought life couldn’t get any better? Well, guys, apparently it can get a little bit better . . .
On April 21, to celebrate this humbling award, Figment’s going to have its moment in the golden California sun as part of the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, where some of our all time favorite comedians, comic actors, and writers are going to be reading aloud selected stories from the Figment library–that’s right, YOUR work. We’ve got a star of The League, one of the Bridesmaids, a member of The State, the king of the Freaks . . . oh and a writer from Glee, and we’re just getting started!
Here’s the cavalcade of stars who will be reading at the big Figment event:
Martin Starr, whom we loved in the cult-classic TV shows Freaks and Geeks and Party Down and from the films Superbad and Knocked Up
Wendi McLendon-Covey, who was hi-larious as Rita in Bridesmaids and is currently filming a pilot opposite Christopher Lloyd and John Leguizamo
Nick Kroll, star of The League and the soon-to-premiere Comedy Central series The Nick Show Kroll, and the co-author of the bestselling book Bar Mitzvah Disco
Andrea Savage, who’s known for her hysterical turns in Step Brothers, Dinner for Schmucks, and the mockumentary series Dog Bites Man on Comedy Central
Michael Hitchcock who’s insanely funny in Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show and is also a writer for . . . Glee!
Michaela Watkins, a former SNLer, who is now in theaters in the movie Wanderlust and a regular on New Girl
We’re freaking out a little. Okay. A LOT.
Here are the details:

And . . . it’s free!
If you’re going to be in Southern California in April, you won’t want to miss it. And if you’re not, don’t worry, we’ll be doing a lot of celebrating right here leading up to the big day!
