Vote in the Peter and the Starcatcher Contest!

Many inspired Figs flocked to our Neverland-inspired Peter and the Starcatcher contest. We asked all of you to write a story in 750 words or less inspired by the phrase “young at heart” for a chance to see the popular kids’ book as a broadway adaptation.

The entry period has ended, but there’s still a week of voting ahead. So get reading, Figs! Voting will run until 6:00 p.m. ET on April 10, at which point the 30 most-hearted entries will become finalists. The five grand-prize winners will then be determined by the Figment editorial team.

Each lucky and talented winner will receive a voucher for two tickets to Peter and the Starcatcher as well as a copy of the novel Peter and the Starcatchers that’s been SIGNED by authors Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. Good luck to everyone, and get voting!

  1. Hi 🙂
I submitted my entry for this contest during the entry period, and it hadn’t shown up in the entries so I asked about it and was told to check the tag. I checked the tag “peterstarcatcher” and my story shows up with all the others, so it must be tagged properly. However, it’s still not shown under the list of entries, and I’m not sure why. Soooooo, why hasn’t it shown up?

    • Hey Rhetta-

If you created the story as a piece on Figment after the start of the contest and tagged it properly, you’re all set. If you’d like to email me with specifics about the story, I can look into it for you further.

      Best,
      Emily

  2. Do you know how soon the winners will be announced? Like is it a couple days or a few weeks? It doesn’t have to be specific but I would love to have a general idea!

    • Hey Emma-
Unfortunately, we’re unable to say when the winners will be announced. It depends on several factors. Stay tuned, though!
