Romeo & Juliet has probably been taught in every high school English class since high schools and English classes were invented. We all know how the story goes . . . or do we? We asked girls aged 13 to 21 to write a story modernizing a classic work of literature for a chance to be featured in an upcoming issue of Justine Magazine!
It’s too late to enter the contest, but it’s not too late to help choose the winner. Cast your votes now for your favorite updated classic!
Voting will run until 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 5, 2012. The twenty most-hearted entries will become semi-finalists, which will be narrowed down to five finalists by the Justine editorial team. Amanda Hocking, the bestselling author of the Trylle Trilogy, will read the top five entries and choose the winner and two runners-up.
The winner will receive an awesome e-book reader—and will become a published author when her story appears in Justine Magazine in the October/November 2012 issue. The runners-up will also be featured in the issue and will receive a backpack filled with the latest YA books!
Those entries aren’t going to become finalists by themselves! Voting starts now!
