Transcendence Flash-Fiction Contest Winners!

12988002_150Inspired by the flashbacks experienced by Cole and Griffon in C.J. Omololu’s novel Transcendence, we challenged you write stories set in historical places from the book. The ten top stories were sent to author C.J. Omololu who chose one grand prize winner. The Figment editors then chose a winner for each of the daily prompts. Read through the winning stories below, and congratulate your fellow Figs!

Grand-Prize Winner:
Captain Bresby’s Widow
by Emina Pemaquar
C.J. says, “This felt like so much more than 100 words to me, she managed to convey so much in such a short time—I loved it and want more!”

Congrats, Emina! You will receive a copy of Transcendence and an Ankh necklace.

Day One: Mutiny on the Scaffold by Mary Nichols
