Throne of Glass Flash-Fiction: Day Two

Inspired by the richly detailed world of Ardalan in Sarah J. Maas’s novel Throne of Glass, we’re challenging you to build a fantastic setting of your own this weekend. Yesterday, we asked you to create your kingdom’s ruler. But a story isn’t complete without an obstacle. Today, you’ll create the villain. Is it a monster, a rebel, or an army? It’s up to you!

Today’s Prompt: In 150 words of fewer, create an enemy for your fantasy world. Tag your writing GlassFlash2 and ThroneofFlash.

You can enter one story for each day’s prompt. (If you respond to multiple prompts over the course of the challenge, those stories do not have to be related.)

You have until Sunday, August 26 at 11:59 p.m. ET to respond to all three prompts.

The Figment editors will choose one winning response to each day’s prompt; that story’s writer will receive a copy of Throne of Glass. We’ll also choose the five best stories overall to be featured on the Figment homepage!
