False Memory Short-Story Contest Finalists

Dan Krokos‘s new novel, False Memory, tells the story of a group of genetically-enhanced teenagers who have the power to incite panic in everyone around them. Their leader/father figure, Dr. Tycast, has been in charge of their training since childhood and, as a result, the foursome are close friends with killer skills.

Inspired by the tight-knit teens and their wise leader, we challenged you to write a story about a team. You wrote, and voted, and now it’s time to announce the finalists who will be sent to Dan Krokos for judging! Check out the finalists below, and wish your fellow Figs luck in the judging process.

Rise Beyond Me by S. E. Spradlin

Savior by Cat Seaver

Argalei: The King’s Betrayal by The Scout

Limp Leg by Samantha Woo

Invictus by Lune Lenore Violette

Kindful Symmetry by Jonathan Garg

Dragon Scroll by Holly cressall

The Grand Prize winner will receive The Enemy by Charlie Higson, The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab, From What I Remember by Stacy Kramer and Valerie Thomas, The Ghost and the Goth by Stacey Kade, and False Memory by Dan Krokos!

Two runners-up will each receive a copy of False Memory by Dan Krokos.

  1. Why hasn’t there been a list of finalists posted for the Throne of Glass Contest as well? It was a similar format (top 10 get sent to the author) as the False Memory Contest, and a few others as well. I haven’t seen any posts since the contest voting ended…. just wanted to ask since there are so many other contests going on.

  2. Congrats all!! I can’t wait to see who the winners are!! Good luck to everyone! It’s been a stiff competition to say the least x3

  3. Is it possible that the heart contests can be monitored, and not just swaps? I mean, congrats to all the finalists, but there’s a good possibility that all the hearts that people get aren’t fully deserved.

Just a suggestion, otherwise congrats to the finalists! (:

  4. When will the winners be announced? I’m just curious, because I haven’t been on in a while and I figured the winners would be announced by now. :)) Thanks guys!

  5. Hello Figment! 🙂 I was just wondering if this contest is still active? I mean, is it still under careful deliberation? It has been almost three months and ever since, we have never heard of any progress other than the list of finalists. 🙂
