Wolf Pact Flash-Fiction Contest: Day Two!

Lawson and his family want to escape their fate. The ancestors of ancient wolves, they are enslaved in the Underworld, forced to do Lucifer’s bidding. But Lawson figures out a way to flee to aboveground. It’s dangerous—if the hellhounds catch them, they will all be killed. But freedom seems worth the risk and Lawson convinces his brothers and sisters to go along with the plan. He has no idea that during the escape, he’ll lose someone he cares for very much.

Inspired by Melissa de la Cruz’s new series Wolf Pact (a spinoff of her popular Blue Bloods series), we’re hosting a weeklong flash-fiction contest! Each day we’ll be giving you a new prompt based on a plot line from the book. Your challenge: In 150 words or less, write a short scene about the prompt.

You have 24 hours to enter a story in response to the prompt. You can enter one story for each day’s prompt. (If you respond to multiple prompts over the course of the challenge, those stories do not have to be related.)

The Figment editors will choose the 10 best entries from the entire week and send them to Melissa, who will choose one grand-prize winner.

The grand-prize winner will receive eBook copies of all six titles in the Blue Bloods series (Blue BloodsMasqueradeRevelationsThe Van Alen LegacyMisguided Angel, and Lost in Time) from the iBookstore. Five daily winners will each receive an eBook copy of Lost in Timethe sixth book in the series.

  1. I entered the contest for both prompts and I tagged them both wrong. I entered wolfpactflash1 and “2. Though I thought I checked it again and again and did it right, I must be more tired than I thought!

I entered the first tag right, however, and got the pop-up confirmation, but got the day prompt wrong. I was wondering if there’s a way to amend this or if it will still be in the contest since I got the pop-up.

Hopefully I can manage to get the rest of the tags right for this contest!

    Thanks!
