  1. Love them all, but two of my favorites are from two of my classmates “If you can’t write anything B.S. is the way to go.” and “If the pen is hot Write alot.”

  2. When I read 19 I was like “hm, I sort of felt like that when I read The Fault In Our Stars,” Then I saw who the qoute was from and went YESSSSS

  3. I was scrolling down the list and saw that John Green had a quote here from The Fault in Our Stars. And then I thought, “Yes, John, and the book that you wrote that quote in is one such book.”
So now, all of you, go read The Fault in Our Stars and be amazed. Or you can go ahead and let the world explode…you choose.

  4. I really like all of these, but my faves that either made me laugh out loud or go “oh my god YES so true” are 4, 5, 8, 12, and 16. All of them made me smile and all are absolutely true 🙂 Love these!

  5. Personally I really love and truly believe in number 16 by Jack London. Anyone who feels like they are struggling to succeed, not just in writing but in any walk of life, should read a biography on him. He is a shining example of the unbelievable and utterly amazing feats a human being can accomplish if you just stick with it.

  6. This is just what I needed to see, thank you. Needed number 7, 12 and 18 today (but absolutely love number 4 – “…tell us that dragons can be beaten”). Tweeting it to my writing friends in case they need the boost today too (bum in chair…hard to do on some days, even when you know you must).

  7. These are awesome quotes. They certainly inspired me. I plan to incorporate some of these quotes into my composition class, perhaps to inspire, provoke, invigorate, or engage my students. Hopefully these quotes will lead them to a better and more complete expression of their thoughts, as well as motivate them to produce a higher quality of writing.
