Figment’s Interlochen Sweepstakes

Interlochen Arts Academy creative writing programFounded in 1962, Interlochen Arts Academy is a boarding high school for artists and writers in Michigan. One of the coolest things about being a creative writing major at Interlochen is the access you get to professional writers. Students are tutored in their craft by a faculty of award-winning writers and regularly get access to visiting authors like Jeffrey Eugenides, David Sedaris, Antonya Nelson, Carolyn Forché and Tony Kushner (all of whom have interacted with Interlochen students in recent months, either on the Interlochen campus or at the National Writers Series in nearby Traverse City).

Between now and November 15, enter to win one of five Interlochen book prize-packs! Each prize pack includes a copy of the following: The Virgin Suicides, by Jeffrey Eugenides; Female Trouble, by Antonya Nelson; Me Talk Pretty One Day, by David Sedaris; and The Owl Question: Poems, by Interlochen Academy alumna Faith Shearin. Enter below!

(Psst: You could also win something even more impressive from Interlochen. The academy is offering a chance to win a $30,000 scholarship to its creative writing program! Get more information here.)

  1. I am very interested in this! The school sounds absolutely fantastic! I think I’m going to research it, even though I’m no longer a high school student. ^__^

  2. I actually was looking into their cool film program there, but the tuition was too expensive for a highschool according to my dad… buuuuuuut I have recently dug up one of my old wrItIng notebooks. So yeah. Look out contest. You’re about to be pwned.
