Inspired by the faeries Kagawa, Block, and Black have dreamed up, Figment’s holding a fairy showdown! Between now and Thursday morning at 9 a.m. ET (that’s November 29), vote for your favorites in each of the four categories to knock the weakest links out of the race. Round 2 will go up Thursday afternoon! Then be sure to tune in to our chat on December 2, when we’ll announce who wins the title of the ultimate fairy!
Pretty but Dangerous
Tinkerbell from Peter Pan
Tink may look adorably harmless, but don’t forget she’s Peter’s loyal second-in-command. In fact, she might be a little too loyal. Remember how she tried to kill Wendy for getting a little flirty with Peter? Yeah, we’re gonna stay on her good side.
Holly Short from Artemis Fowl
Holly and Artemis make a great team, mostly because Holly’s so awesome. She’s the only female captain in the LEPrecon, and she’ll do whatever it takes to get the job done, even if it means breaking some rules. She’s basically the epitome of girl power.
Titania from A Midsummer Night’s Dream
The quintessential fairy queen, Titania is the ruler of the forest and the natural world. Of course, it’s a Shakespeare play, so she gets involved in a ridiculously complicated, inter-species love triangle, but she’s a powerful fairy all the same.
Crysta from Fern Gully
Crysta’s not just your garden-variety fairy—she’s a rainforest guardian. It’s her job to protect the environment from the evil corporations that want to destroy it. At only a few inches tall, she may be the world tiniest environmentalist.
Claudine Crane from True Blood
We didn’t realize that vampires could have fairy godmothers, but that was before we met Claudine. She tries to keep Sookie out of trouble, and she’s got some killer powers, like telepathy, teleportation, and the ability to turn light into a weapon.
Fairy Godmother from Cinderella
Cinderella might be the main character, but her fairy godmother deserves all the credit: She makes sure Cinderella’s the belle of the ball. Without her, Cinderella would still be drowning in housework with only singing mice for company.
Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather from Sleeping Beauty
Some people only get one fairy godmother, but Princess Aurora’s lucky enough to have three. Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather use their magic to raise Aurora, protect her from Maleficent, and even clean their house extra efficiently.
Cosmo and Wanda from Fairly OddParents
Cosmo and Wanda make a great team. They’re always getting Timmy out of sticky situations, and they balance each other out. Cosmo’s goofy and silly while Wanda’s a little more grounded (or as grounded as a fairy can be).
