Pretty Little Liars 12: BURNED Short-Story Contest

Spending spring break on a cruise ship headed for the Caribbean sounds pretty great. Having your best friends and boyfriend in tow definitely sweetens the deal. But unfortunately, wherever Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily go, A is sure to follow. And with A along for the trip, there are sure to be some choppy waters and misadventures ahead.

Burned is latest in Sara Shepard’s Pretty Little Liars series. The girls are off on a Caribbean cruise and while they try to relax and enjoy their vacation—if they’re not careful, A is sure to ruin their good time.

  1. Lol, I love how there’s a typo in this.

“The girls are off on a Caribbean cruise and while they try to relax and enjoy their vacation—if (their) not careful, A is sure to ruin their good time.”

    Should be ‘they’re’.

  2. Question: If you’ve written a book prior to a contest, and it has several hundred hearts, will it be disqualified if you enter it, or is it allowed? I’ve never done it, and I haven’t seen it happen with this contest, but I’ve seen it happen with the Seventeen Magazine contest. There is no way they could have gotten that many hearts in such little time.

    • Hey!

Per the rules, only entries created on Figment after the announcement of the contest will be considered valid. Tagging old stories does not create a valid entry.

  3. Hi um I wrote a story for the burned contest almost twelve hours ago. I published it as well but I did not see it this morning in the contest entries.

    • As long as your entry is:
      -published
      -tagged correctly
-created after the announcement of the contest

It is there somewhere! Double check those, but otherwise you are set.

    • Check the official rules of both contests; both stories require an original work. You cannot enter one story in two Figment contests.

  4. Hey, I was just wondering how close the story has to be to the prompt? Since I wrote a Burned Contest entry about a week ago, and its sort of a backwards take on prompt in terms of chronological order. My story begins after danger strikes….Is that okay and would that still be valid for this contest?
