You’ve made it through the first semester and a tough round of finals. Now it’s time for a much deserved winter break. How are you spending these precious days of freedom? Lounging on the sofa catching up on Desperate Housewives and eating Christmas cookies? Hanging out with your friends? Writing up a storm at Figment?
In honor of our second favorite school vacation, we’re hosting a weeklong flash-fiction contest!
Every day between now and Friday, December 28, we’ll be posting a new prompt about winter break. You will have until midnight the following day to respond to the prompt with a story of no more than 150 words. (Deadlines are posted in the prompts.) You can enter one story per prompt.
The Figment editors will choose one winning response to each day’s prompt; that story’s writer will receive a super secret surprise book and their story will be featured on the Figment homepage!
Bookmark this page and come back throughout the week for new prompts!
