Deadly Little Lessons Short-Story Contest Finalists

Deadly Little Lessons by Laurie Faria StolarzCeleste has the ability to see the future through touch. But sometimes her visions are scary and unexplainable. While at art school in Rhode Island, she gets caught up in the disappearance of a local girl. Will the lessons Camelia has learned about her powers in the past help her find the missing girl? Or will she only uncover more dangerous secrets?

Inspired by Deadly Little Lessonsthe fifth book in the Touch series by Laurie Faria Stolarz, we challenged you to write a story that begins with the sentence: “I was unsure and scared, but I had a reserve of inner strength to help me find my way.” You wrote and voted, and we’re now pleased to announce the top eleven most-hearted entries (we had a two-way tie for 10th place!) that will be sent to Laurie for judging.
