Lora Jones doesn’t know anything about her parents, or where she was born, or even how old she is exactly. She was found by a tinker wandering the streets of London and sent to the Blisshaven Foundling Home. No one thought much of her—Lora seemed to be just another orphan.
It isn’t until she’s transferred to Iverson boarding school (sent as a charity student, in part to escape the bombings in London during WWI) that Lora begins to suspect she’s something more than just an orphan. It’s there she meets two young men who will help her understand the hidden magical power within her.
In 250 words or fewer, write a story about an orphan.
