The Loop Weekend Flash-Fiction Contest

The Loop by Shandy LawsonBen and Maggie have lived the same two days over and over countless times. They’re caught in a time loop in which they meet, fall in love, and die. Each time they start over, they get just a little bit smarter, they remember a little more from the last loop, and they get a little closer to escaping Roy, the man responsible for their murders. Unfortunately, they’re not entirely sure it’s really possible to change their destiny.

Inspired by Ben and Maggie’s struggle to escape from Roy in Shandy Lawson’s debut novel, The Loop, we’ve got a new flash-fiction contest!

Prompt

In 150 words or fewer, write a scene in which your main character is trying to escape from a villian. Tag your story EscapeFlash. The entry period closes on Monday, May 6 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

  1. I entered yesterday and received the pop up confirmation, but it says there are no entries yet. Are they just not being posted yet?

  2. I’m not sure the contest submission is working correctly. No window popped up when I tagged my story as instructed.

    • Hey Megan-
As long as your entry is:
      -tagged correctly
-published (not saved as a draft)
-created on Figment after the announcement of the contest and before the entry period closes
      You’re entered!
