At Figment, we’re always looking for solutions to our writing problems. And we’re always thrilled when published authors will share some helpful advice. Unremembered author, Jessica Brody gave us some great tips on how to write an opening chapter that makes a book unputdownable by hiding the tasty tidbits rather than giving up the whole story on a silver platter.
Inspired by Jessica’s tips, we challenged you to write an opening scene in which you hide your own ball to hook your reader. You wrote enticing stories and we are pleased to announce the winners!
Check out the winning entries below and be sure to congratulate your fellow Figs!
