What would you change in the past if you could time travel?

In celebration of Ann Brashares’ newest book, The Here and Now, we have a brand new contest!
In 1,000 words or fewer, write a story about time travel and tag it FigTimeTravel. The last day to submit your story will be Friday, May 2nd, 2014. What would you change about the past if you could travel back in time? Are you allowed to take anything with you? How much of an impact can you make on history, if any? The rules are up to you!
Ten winners will be chosen on to win a free copy of The Here and Now by Ann Brashares and have their story featured in our weekly Newsletter, the Figment homepage and across our social media channels! 1. Read the full rules.
2. Create an account on Figment.com.
3. Start a new writing of 1,000 words or less.
4. Tag your writing FigTimeTravel on the Details tab.
5. Enter your response by the deadline listed in the prompt.
6. Press “Publish Now.”
7. You should receive a pop-up confirmation of your entry, and in about two hours or so, your piece should appear among the submissions.
