About the book:

“Fans of Veronica Roth’s Divergent, Marie Lu’s Legend, and Suzanne Collins’s The Hunger Games series: your next obsession has arrived.”-School Library JournalSeeker
The night Quin Kincaid takes her Oath, she will become what she has trained to be her entire life. She will become a Seeker. This is her legacy, and it is an honor.
As a Seeker, Quin will fight beside her two closest companions, Shinobu and John, to protect the weak and the wronged. Together they will stand for light in a shadowy world.
And she’ll be with the boy she loves–who’s also her best friend.
But the night Quin takes her Oath, everything changes.
Being a Seeker is not what she thought. Her family is not what she thought. Even the boy she loves is not who she thought.
And now it’s too late to walk away.

    • Hi Eloise! This particular prompt should be about you. If your family didn’t have any specific expectations for you – how has having to work without that affected you? Good luck!

    • Hi Bryttney! Welcome to Figment! We will be happy to help. Once you’re logged into Figment you’ll simply create a story. If your story is within the word limit mentioned in the contest prompt, add the contest tag in the “Details” tab and you will be entered automatically! Feel free to reach out to community@figment.com if you have any additional questions. Good luck!

  1. Mine’s not showing up yet. I submitted it around lunch time today, with the “#FamilyExpectations” and I didn’t even get a confirmation pop-up. What did I do wrong?

    • Unfortunately we’re unable to ship internationally at this moment, Jen. We’ll still be happy to feature your items if you happen to win.

  2. I’m not sure if it worked but I submitted a story. Could I possibly get confirmation on that? I got a pop up but it kind of confused me because it didn’t mention a contest. Just something about tweeting it so friends could see… Was that the pop up you were talking about?

  3. Getting rid of heart based contests is the best decision ever made by anyone ever. The former heart based system encouraged mindless wall spamming, unpaid debts, heart distribution without reading the work and winners were essentially people who spammed the most or had the largest friend list. I’m glad work will now be fully judged on its quality. Thank you Figment, honestly, you have made a great move.

  4. Read mine please!!! You can’t miss it!! It has a picture of me and one of my younger brothers!!! I hope you guys enjoy!! 😉

  5. Hi there! This says that we have to write a short story in 250 words or less. I’ve started writing my story but I soon came to realize how little 250 can say. Is this the absolute limit for the story, or can we go a little over? Maybe 300 words, or so. Thanks so much and have a lovely day!

    • Hi Jannah – this particular contest must be 250 words or less to qualify to win. However, after the contest you are welcome to continue your story. Thanks and good luck!

  6. So, do we know when results are coming out? These contests seem to be forgotten a little tiny bit after March Matchup….

  7. When will the results for the contest be posted? It’s been about 7 months and I’m wondering what happened….
