Dear Figment Readers by James Dashner

Dear Figment readers,

I’m really looking forward to taking a few days to answer your questions regarding my books, movies, and anything else under the sun. I’m especially excited to talk about The Game of Lives, the third and final book in The Mortality Doctrine trilogy. This is a story that’s been in my head since seeing the Matrix movies a long time ago, and I often say it’s a mix of that and another movie I love, Inception. Dealing with virtual reality and artificial intelligence, and filled with lots of twists and turns, I really think you’ll enjoy it if you haven’t given it a shot yet.

I’ve also had the greatest time, along with all of you, watching the Maze Runner movies come to life on the big screen. We still have one more to go, and we can also talk about that.

So thank you for being fans of my work. I’m truly thankful and will never take it for granted. Let’s have fun chatting and getting to know each other a little bit more.

Talk soon,

  1. I LOVE the looks of the Maze Runner, but I haven’t been able to get around to watching the movies or reading the books.

    Welcome back Mr. Dasher!

  2. Hi James, i really love reading your books. Especially the maze runner series. I often wonder how could a body think of such mind blowing story. Whenever i read your books, i just get engrossed with them. They are too awesome. I love Scorch trials. I wish you could probably write a sequel after death cure. Your books are irresistible. I want to know that whether is any other book by you which is better than the Scorch trials and the death cure??

  3. Hi James! I really love The Maze Runner I’m a big fan! I just have one question. Why did you kill Teresa? I really liked her character and I wish Thomas would have forgiven her and they live happily ever after. Well I guess that’s what I was expecting. It was a big twist for me. I really love reading the books though they are so action packed. I was also wondering if u can do me a favor. I don’t think that you would be able to do it but I’m gonna give it a shot. It would make me so happy if one day I can be able to meet The Maze Runner cast. I’m going through a tough time right now with moving and having a new life, but the least you can do for me is give me information of when the cast of the movies will have a meet and greet. Thank you James. I’m a really big fan of yours. I hope you can reply.
