The Hunger Games Movie Trailer!

It’s the trailer we’ve all been starving for since that (kinda lame) teaser trailer whet our appetites back in August: The Hunger Games movie trailer! We watched it in the office this morning in awed silence . . . and then had a major geek out sesh when it was finished.

What did YOU love best about the trailer?  Was it finally catching a glimpse of Peeta (Josh Hutcherson)? Or the heartbreaking reaping scene? Those shots of the Capitol in all its glory? Or was it watching Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and the other tributes begin the fight of their lives inside the Arena?

When I first saw this, I got so uncontrollably excited that I pulled my bow out from under my desk and exited the Figment Headquarters without a word, poaching animals from Central Park to feed the awesome hard-at-work staff. Do you see the resemblance between me and the wicked skilled archer here?

Ha! Stupid question. Of course you do.

After seeing this trailer, I don’t know if I’ll be able to wait until March 23rd, 2012.

May the odds be ever in your favor, Figbutes.

  1. I was so impressed with the trailer because usually I really don’t see the point in transforming a book into a movie when they are going to change everything anyways but with this .. they totally caught me by surprise. It was so accurate to the actual storyline. I honestly can’t wait!!

  2. At first I though they were going to totally ruin the movie by changing the plot. But I have some hope for it now.

I’m still not fond of who they cast as Katniss, Gale, and Peeta, though.

  3. My friend told me there was a new trailer out… Thanks for saving me the time of trying to find it. Can’t wait until it comes out.

  4. We watched it in Creative Writing. x3 My teacher is probably gonna go with us to see the movie. There’s gonna be a huge van of people, I swear…
EXCITEMENT. I’m wary because it’s Hollywood and they have a reputation of messing up like crazy, but I’m optimistic because it looks SO DANG GOOD.
The casting was pretty good too…but Cinna still makes me sad. That’s just not how I pictured him whatsoever. But hey, if the guy’s a good actor and pulls him off, I’ll be alright.
