In Dreamless by Josephine Angelini, Helen Hamilton visits some pretty unpleasant places on her journeys through the underworld. Inspired by Dreamless, we hosted a week-long flash fiction contest where we challenged you to write stories set in not-so-cuddly places like an abandoned mansion. We sent the twenty best entries to Josephine Angelini, who picked the grand prize winner. Today, we’re excited to announce the winning stories!

Beautifully imagined.”
