“She had loved the enemy and saved him. She had set him free.
And he had done this.”
In Days of Blood and Starlight, the sequel to her bestselling Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Laini Taylor continues the tale of Karou, the blue-haired art student who grew up among monsters. Karou crossed enemy lines to connect with the beautiful, haunted angel Akiva—and now, she must pay the price.

Are fanfics out of the question?
All characters must be original or public domain, so you could use Elizabeth Bennett, but not Harry Potter.
OK. Thanks.
Can it be a personal experience?
Sure!
This is just a quick question. Can you make some minor changes like adding a comma here and there as well as fixing a few tenses of some words after you’ve entered the piece of writing?
As long as the entry period is still open, yes.
Omg. Liani Taylor and Libba Bray are my alltime favorite authors.
Are we allowed to use fan characters? How about alternate versions of scenes we’re planning for something outside of this contest?
All ideas and content must be your own or public domain. Please refer to the official rules!
How long is the voting period going to be?
Hey!
All judging details and entry and voting periods are in the official rules!
Does this story have to be a new writing?
Yes/
When are the winners going to be posted?
