Dance of Shadows Flash-Fiction Contest—Day 4

Dance of Shadows by Yelena BlackVanessa Adler is just a freshman at the New York Ballet Academy, but she immediately catches the attention of Josef, the academy’s lead choreographer. Josef is from Paris and is incredibly talented himself—but he’s also an unrelenting director. Vanessa and the male lead, Zep, practice tirelessly and it never seems to be enough. Is the pressure too much for Vanessa? Will she suffer the same fate as her sister Margaret, who mysteriously disappeared from NYBA three years ago?

Inspired by Vanessa’s adventures in Dance of Shadows by Yelena Black, we’ve got a five-day flash-fiction contest for you!
