Our Favorite Doctor Who Places: A Countdown — #3

The countdown continues as we get closer and closer to the end of the week and closer and closer to the new episode of Doctor Who“The Bells of St. John”—which airs this Saturday, March 30.

We’ve relived some of the Doctor’s more memorable journeys: Area 51, a pirate ship, Pompeii. Did you missed stops #4 through #10? You can check them out here, here, here, and here! And be sure to check back all week for the rest of our list!

#3: Berlin, 1938

as seen in: Let’s Kill Hitler

Let's Kill Hitler, Doctor Who

Obviously, nobody WANTS to just hang out in Hitler’s Germany. Going back to Hitler’s time is one of those things people always say they’d want to do if they could time travel. It makes sense—everyone wants to stop his rise to power. What makes Doctor Who’s take on this setting so original, though, is that the TARDIS crew doesn’t kill the dictator. In fact, they accidentally save his life. In the Doctor’s Berlin, the main villain isn’t Hitler, but the Teselecta. Hitler’s just some lame guy who ends up getting locked in a cupboard.

Where would you most like to travel with the Doctor? Let us know in the comments!

  1. I’d like to go with the Doctor to Firenze in the 14th century. Or maybe I’d go 200 years in the future to see Earth. Just because I can.
